As per statutes issued by the Central Board of Excise & Customs (INDIA) vide their Circular Nos.:- 110/2003 DTD.22.12.2003 & 15/2004 DTD 16.02.2004, it is now mandatory for all Consol Agents Freight Forwarders to file the House Bills of Lading Import manifest with INDIAN Customs, effective 01.05.2004. This has to be done "PRIOR" arrival of the vessel. |

To enable us to comply with the above, it is imperative we receive a pre alert from the Port of Loading (CONSOL AGENT) 7 days prior arrival of vessel in to INDIA along with the following documents : |

1. ORIGINAL MASTER BILLS OF LADING |
|
| |
2. COPY OF HOUSE BILLS OF LADING |
|
| |
3. CONSOL MANIFEST |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Non compliance of above statutory requirement of INDIAN Customs could result in fines of INR 50,000.00 (Equivalant to approx USD 1100.00) |
